Illuminate Festival 2010
The evening of Saturday 12th June will see the fourth annual Illuminate Festival organised as part of the Regatta celebrations. Building on the success of the previous Festivals Illuminate 2010 will feature a variety of street theatre and entertainment on the riverbanks, culminating in a spectacular firework finale.
Acts including Musical Ruth, Turbo Jonez and The Seagulls will perform on the riverbanks from 5.00pm when the Regatta admission fee will be waived.
At 8.00pm the Wriggle Jiggle Parade, accompanied by Sid the Spider and the papaJaca Percussion Band, will leave the Market Place leading the public down to the riverbanks. Here they will be able to enjoy further entertainment from the papaJaca Percussion Band before the awe-inspiring and completely breathtaking Heliosphere takes to the sky. The event will end with an amazing firework finale!
