The 175th Bradley Hall Durham Regatta is scheduled to take place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 June 2008 and arrangements are already well underway. The 2008 Prospectus will be available in the near future. Information for Trade Stand applicants can be found by choosing the appropriate link from the navigation menu.
Durham Regatta in its current form dates back to 1834, when only a handful of trophies were competed for over a period of three days. Today, the Regatta takes place over a period of two days, at which dozens of trophies are competed for. It is a favourite amongst Durham University, Durham School and Durham Amateur Rowing Club, who have competed regularly since the early days.
The Regatta is the most prestigious in the North of England and as such, attracts a high level of competition, both at national and international level. Alongside the racing, there are many attractions on the river banks, including trade stands for local businesses, refreshment tents and a Vintage Car Rally.
The results of racing is now available for both the Saturday and Sunday events.
